Getting To Know Your Lake & 2010 Lake Wallenpaupack Dam Tours Friday, July 9, 2010 1:00 - 6:00 PM Saturday, July 10,2010 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Don’t miss this chance to get to know the lake a little better and all it has to offer. Join PP&L for its annual dam tours and check out some great work being done in the watershed.
Guided tours of the Wallenpaupack Dam will run continuously during the times listed above. Learn about the increase in energy demand since Lake Wallenpaupack began operating as a hydroelectric plant in the 1920s. For your safety, please wear close-toes shoes. Please note: The powerhouse will not be part of these tours. If you are interested in participating in a tour, meet down by the butterfly garden next to the dam. Visitors will be greeted by a PP&L escort and guided out onto the dam in small groups.
On Saturday, July 10, 2010, join PPL for some lake-related presentations at the Learning Center. There will be information and fun activities for the whole family.
