Riverside Restaurant
A real prize in the box!

Rusty Palmer’s new Riverside Restaurant is now open (Jan. 2011) and an unexpected surprise for those familiar with Rusty’s longtime presence in the area. On February 21, 2005, Rusty Palmer, Inc. and Rusty's Café burnt to the ground in a devastating fire. The entire building along with all the contents were destroyed. In a tragedy like this, most dealers would throw in the towel, but “. . . we are not most dealers. It's just another bump in the road that we need to overcome. We will build a new state-of-the-art building that is bigger and better," says Rusty Palmer.

And, Rusty did just that with impressive design innovations and a huge inventory housed in the
120,000 square foot building. However, for our purpose of sharing things to do or places to go, the Riverside Restaurant is something you have to see and experience. Not only is the food great but the interior design and exterior view of the river also add to the experience. An unbelievably large, circular bar immediately grabs your attention as you enter the building. Did you notice the log cabin on the roof of the main building? That houses the mechanism for the elevator. Look outside while in the restaurant and you will notice another, smaller version of the cabin that drove us nuts wondering about its function . . . or lack thereof. Marie Palmer shared that the tiny cabin hides access to the septic system controls. All of this illustrates the various forms of “eye candy” that Rusty incorporated into the design of the new building. Mention that you learned about the restaurant on our website and you MIGHT get a discount. (No guarantee but it wouldn’t hurt).
